About Us
John B. Pillatsch is a California-licensed Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience providing high quality professional tax planning, tax preparation, and accounting services to individuals, small businesses, and charitable trusts. He recently launched a new website (www.jbpcpa.biz) with the goal of providing value added services for his clients on a year-round basis. John's physical office is located in his home in the Tehachapi Mountains approximately two hours north of Los Angeles. With a high-speed fiber optic connection to his website, John is able to connect with and securely share data with clients located across the globe. John's home-based, virtual practice keeps his overhead low, enabling him to serve clients who might otherwise not be able to afford the services of an experienced CPA. That said, John is happy to meet in person with clients who are located in southern Kern or northern Los Angeles County.

John specializes in the preparation of moderate to complex individual tax returns for small business owners, rental real estate investors, taxpayers with investment portfolios and capital gains/losses, pass-through entity activities (i.e., partnerships, S-corps, LLCs, trusts), taxpayers with itemized deductions, higher education and other tax credits, retirees, ordained ministers, and expatriates. John also prepares tax returns for small businesses including partnerships, LLCs, and S Corporations. In addition, he provides tax planning and tax issue resolution services. As a California-licensed CPA, John can represent his clients before the Internal Revenue Service and California Franchise Tax Board.
